Our Story

Welcome to 10 and 8 Management Agency

We are an artist and band management agency. 10 and 8 Management was launched by Nicholas Mishko.

Nicholas Mishko is the President and founder of 10 and 8 Management. His remarkable journey in the music business serves as a testament to his unwavering dedication and passion for the industry. Commencing his career in 2008, he gained his first substantive experience during an internship at Rock Ridge Music, where he undertook marketing responsibilities for prominent bands such as Chris Volz, Psychostick, Reel Big Fish, and Sister Hazel. This pivotal internship solidified Mishko's aspiration to immerse himself further in the dynamic world of music. His next chapter unfolded at the iconic ABKCO Music and Records, Inc. in New York City, where he spent four transformative years delving into the intricacies of songwriter and artist royalties.

This period at ABKCO exposed Mishko to the nuances of what could be deemed "old school music business." As one of the largest Record Labels/Music Publishers globally, ABKCO's catalog boasts legendary artists such as The Rolling Stones and the iconic Sam Cooke. However, despite the invaluable experience gained, Mishko felt a yearning to work more directly with artists, nurturing and guiding their careers. Armed with knowledge in record contracts, royalties, and licensing acquired during his tenure, he took a leap of faith and founded 10 and 8 Management in 2012.

His inaugural client, Butch Parnell, remains with him to this day, a testament to Mishko's adept management skills. Over the following eight years, 10 and 8 Management evolved from a one-man operation with a laptop to a robust entity with a diverse roster, multiple offices, and a dedicated team. Mishko's strategic acumen have resulted in numerous chart-topping bands on Billboard, strategic sponsor partnerships, and memorable performances at prestigious events like Vans Warped Tour, Sturgis Bike Week, Inkcarceration, and The NAMM Show.

Mishko's proficiency extends beyond artist management to successful negotiations of publishing and record deals. His industry impact is further highlighted by his inclusion in Bobby Owinsky's book, "The Music Business Advice Book: 150 Immediately Useful Tips from the Pros."

The year 2025 approaches, it marks Mishko's 17th year in the music business. Despite the evolution and growth, he remains grounded, adhering to the sage advice received on his very first day: "If you're the easiest to work with and you can deliver results, you're going to get picked every time." This philosophy continues to guide Mishko's approach, ensuring continued success and impact in the dynamic realm of the music business.
